Texans Brian Cushing suffers a concussion in a loss to Seahawks

Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing left the third quarter of this weekend's contest against the Seattle Seahawks with a concussion, Deepi Sidhu from HoustonTexans.com reports.

In the third quarter, Cushing headed to the locker room to be evaluated and did not return in the 23-20 overtime loss against the Seahawks. Cushing had a big impact during the game, before exiting with a concussion and was replaced by rookie Justin Tuggle. Cushing led the defense with nine tackles and forced a fumble on running back Marshaw Lynch. Head coach Gary Kubiak in his post game press conference told reporters
"He had a concussion, that's the diagnosis and that is why didn't play the rest of the way."
Cushing was drafted by the Texans in the 2009 NFL draft with the 15th overall pick. Furthermore, he is the first rookie to win AFC Defensive Player in week 6 and  the first Texans rookie to win the award twice in one season. In his career,Cushing has 387 tackles, seven force fumbles, and eight interceptions.
His status for Sunday nights game against the San Francisco 49ers is questionable.
