Browns’ Injury Report: Brandon Weeden, Josh Gordon, Quentin Groves

The Cleveland Browns host the Buffalo Bills Thursday night.  Both teams have a short week but there still is a game to play.  Who is in?  Who is out?  Find out, in your Cleveland Browns Week 5 injury report.

The big name on this week’s injury report again is quarterback Brandon Weeden (right thumb).  Now listed as probable with full participation all week, Weeden is healthy to be the starting QB.  However, the Browns have stayed with back up Brian Hoyer.  Weeden is not starting but look for him to come in if Hoyer struggles.

Also listed as probable is offensive lineman Oniel Cousins (chest) full participation, kicker Bill Cundiff (right thigh) limited participation Monday and Tuesday but was full participation on Wednesday and fullback Chris Ogbonnaya (thigh) full participation [I think my spell check just cursed at me.]

The Browns have one player listed as out; defensive lineman Billy Winn (quadriceps) did not participate all week.

There are two players listed as doubtful and neither player participated all week.  They are linebacker Quentin Groves (ankle) and LB Jabaal Sheard (knee).

The Browns have two players listed as questionable, offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao (ankle) limited participation all week and defensive tackle John Hughes (knee) limited participation all week.

The Browns have what I like to call an “Area 51” listing.  This means a player or players are listed on the injury report with no game status given.  This week, wide receiver Josh Gordon (forearm) was full participation on Monday but Tuesday, Wednesday and game day there is no status provided.

I guess we will know Thursday night if Gordon dons the shoulder pads and gets some snaps.  My guess is he plays.
