The Tennessee Titans haven't said how long they'll be without starting quarterback Jake Locker, who was sent to the hospital yesterday after suffering a serious hip injury. It appears Tennessee will be without Locker for at least a few weeks, but Ian Rapoport of NFL.com is reporting that the team is likely to place the quarterback on the short-term Injured Reserve list.
After getting hit by a pair of New York Jets lineman yesterday, Locker remained on the ground for some time. He was carted off the field with what was described as a hip injury, and he was later taken to the hospital where he stayed overnight for observation.
Locker's status will become official later this week, but it sounds like the Titans will be without the third-year quarterback for some time, perhaps four to eight weeks. He's gotten off to a nice start, leading the Titans to 3-1 and first place in the AFC South. In his place, former Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will take over.

#Titans are still sorting through QB Jake Locker's hip injury. But I'm told the likely destination is Injured Reserve/designated to return.

Man he was on fire in this game! I hope he can make it back from this. He was really clicking with this offense. Fitzpatrick better be ready to pick up where locker left off.
