The Atlanta Falcons were expected to be a favorite out of the NFC in 2013. Unfortunately a 1-3 start and a hobbled Roddy White and Steven Jackson has many wondering if this team only looks good on paper.
Atlanta had a chance to tie New England late on Sunday night but found themselves on the losing side of a 30-23 contest with the Patriots. During the loss the Falcons were dealt another blow as starting Left Tackle Sam Baker had to leave Sunday’s game with a knee injury.
Baker missed the Falcons’ Week 3 loss against the Miami Dolphins with knee and foot issues and was a game time decision this week. It appears that the Falcons may have rushed Baker back too quickly and can ill afford to have him miss any time with the amount of injuries that have already piled up on the young season.
Atlanta will host the New York Jets on Monday Night Football next week and are hoping the extra day of rest will be beneficial.
