Jaguars Expect Blaine Gabbert To Start

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said he expected quarterback Blaine Gabbert to be ready for Sunday's game against the Colts. Gabbert was a full participant in practice Wednesday, after missing the last two games with a laceration on his hand that required 15 stitches to close up. The stitches are out and Gabbert's hopes are high, per Jaguars.com Open Locker Room:

"The last couple of weeks have kind of been a blessing in disguise, to let my hand heal. It gave me a different point of view, and an opportunity to watch things from a different perspective - to really kind of catch up on some of the mental reps and get a little extra preparation in the film room."

Chad Henne started at quarterback in the last two games, for the injured Gabbert. Both quarterbacks have posted meager numbers and the Jaguars head into Sunday with a record of 0-3.

Gabbert's lone start this year was an awful one against the Chiefs in Week 1; He went 16 of 35 for 121 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. The move back to Gabbert as the starter indicates Henne did little to instill confidence in him going forward. The Jaguars are reeling right now and Gabbert will face a tall order in dueling Andrew Luck and the 2-1 Colts in Jacksonville on Sunday.
