The New York Jets take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Who is in?
Who is out? Find out, in your New
York Jets Week 3 injury report.
Again, just like Weeks 1 and 2, it looks like the New York Jets listed everyone in the organization on this week’s injury report. There are 16 players listed on this week’s report, 15 as probable and one as out.
As all of you know who read my prose, I have taken many a shots at Jets head coach Rex Ryan, most of them are deserved yet some of them are not. Therefore, I would like to take this time to send out a sincere apology and hope that we can be best mates.
Now, Rex looked good on television when the Jets played the Patriots. He looks slimmer and has a bit more giddy up in his step. So Rex did not go out and get some donuts when he decided who and who was not on this week’s injury report, he went to Whole Foods and spent his coin on some cardboard spit out your mouth should never have been invented rice cakes. So after getting punch drunk on a tub of air wafers, Rex tossed at his feet Jets’ trading cards and any player landing face up on the tile was on the injury report. Rex Ryan definitely knows there is a guy from Boston who writes this up. Is he talking to Joe Philbin?
The Jets have one player listed as out, offensive lineman Oday Aboushi (knee) who was limited participation on Thursday but did not participate on Friday.
The Jets have 15 players listed as probable, defensive end, Quinton Coples (ankle) who was limited participation all week, wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (concussion) who was full participation all week, WR Santonio Holmes (foot) was limited participation Wednesday and Friday but did not participate on Thursday and defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis (back) was limited participation all week.
Also listed as probable are quarterback Geno Smith (ankle) who was full participation all week, cornerback Antonio Cromartie (hip) also at full participation all week, offensive lineman Willie Colon (knee/shoulder) full participation, WR Clyde Gates (knee) [last week was shoulder Rex] full participation, WR Stephen Hill (knee) full participation and tackle Austin Howard (ribs) full participation.
Rounding out the long scroll of players listed as probable are linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee) [last week was ribs] full participation, running back Bilal Powell (shoulder/illness) was full participation all week except Wednesday which he did not participate, defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson (shoulder) was limited participation all week, tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. (knee) limited participation and DL Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle) full participation.
Whew! Between the Jets and the Dolphins, I am back to Southie to have a perfect pint of Guinness with my old Uncle Mickey and I definitely will toss back a few three-finger pours of Jamison, neat with a Patron chaser.
