The New York Jets take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Who is in?
Who is out? Find out, in your New
York Jets Week 4 injury report.
The Jets finally have a manageable injury report (for them) with only 14 players listed, three players listed as out and 11 players listed as probable. If I had to fancy a guess, all the players listed as probable should see action against the Titans.
There will be no talk of head coach Rex Ryan getting stomach drunk on rice cakes or using trading cards to determine who is on the injury report and who is not. Moreover, there will be no pints with Uncle Mickey this weekend (depressing I know).
I am getting many props from my “Strong Island” boys so here is a shout out to them.
The Jets have three players listed as out, offensive lineman Oday Aboushi (knee) who did not participate all week, running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) who did not participate all week and cornerback Dee Milliner (hamstring) who was limited participation on Wednesday but did not participate the rest of the week.
The Jets have 11 players listed as probable, defensive end, Quinton Coples (ankle) who was limited participation on Wednesday and Friday but did not participate on Thursday and wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) was limited participation Wednesday and Friday but did not participate on Thursday (same as last week).
Darin Gantt of NBCSports reported this week that Holmes was still not 100% recovered from last year’s Lisfranc injury. Holmes looked “recovered” to me last week against the Buffalo Bills with a career high 154 yards receiving and catching the eventual game winning touchdown. Even playing well in victory, Holmes still loves the drama.
Finishing the list of players labeled as probable are offensive lineman Willie Colon (elbow) full participation, CB Antonio Cromartie (hip) full participation, defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis (back) was limited participation, Geno Smith (ankle) full participation, WR Clyde Gates (knee) full participation on Friday and limited participation Wednesday and Thursday, WR Stephen Hill (knee) full participation, linebacker Garrett McIntyre (shoulder) full participation, defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson (shoulder) did not participate on Wednesday and was limited participation on Thursday and full participation on Friday and tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. (knee) limited participation.
