After coming off a convincing week three win against the San Francisco 49ers, the Indianapolis Colts will travel to Jacksonville this week to play their first division game of the year against the Jaguars. The Colts are dealing with some injuries in their secondary, specifically at their safety position. For the second week in a row, it's unclear who will start at safety for the Colts come Sunday.
Ahmad Bradshaw headlines the Colts injury list for the week. He's already been ruled out against Jacksonville because of a neck injury he suffered in the second quarter against San Francisco. Bradshaw's loss will be felt, but the acquisition of Trent Richardson will ease this pain.
Here is the Colts' full injury list for week four:
Will Play: Pat Angerer (knee), Antoine Bethea (toe), T.Y. Hilton (toe), Samson Satele (elbow)
After missing the season opener with a concussion, Angerer missed last week's game with a knee injury. The Colts' starting inside linebacker returned to practice this week and should start in only his second game this season on Sunday.
Both Hilton and Bethea played last week against San Francisco despite the injuries, and with another week of rest, both players should be ready against Jacksonville. Satele sat out last week with an elbow injury. The Colts' starting center should return against Jacksonville.
Questionable: Joe Lefeged (knee)
With Laron Landry already ruled out for Sunday and Bethea still dealing with a toe injury, Lefeged's knee injury could prove costly this week. The third-year safety will be a game-time decision. He has yet to play this season because of the injury, but if he can play, he will certainly add depth to a position that is severely decimated by injury.
Out: Ahmad Bradshaw (neck), Ricky Jean Francois (groin), Laron Landry (ankle)
Bradshaw, Jean Francois, and Landry are each costly losses for the Colts this week. Trent Richardson will get a majority of the carries on Sunday with Bradshaw out. Jean Francois suffered the groin injury against San Francisco last week. The young defensive tackle missed the entire week of practice and has been ruled out of Sunday's game.
Landry will miss a second straight week with an ankle injury. Delano Howell could start again in the veteran safety's place, especially if Lefeged isn't able to go on Sunday either.
