Speculation all week has surrounded the status of Weeden’s thumb. Josh Alper of NBC Sports reports that Weeden will not need surgery on his injured thumb and could be back on the field as early as next week. However, given the recent developments in Browns Territory, will they want his services?
Also listed as out is linebacker Quentin Groves (ankle). Groves did not participate in practice all week.
The Browns have three players listed as probable, defensive back T.J. Ward (shoulder) who was full participation all week, wide receiver Josh Cooper (shin) who was full participation all week and defensive tackle Desmond Bryant (wrist) who was also full participation all week.
The Browns have one player listed as questionable, defensive lineman, Ahtyba Rubin (calf). Rubin was limited participation in practice all week.
Rounding out the injury report is offensive lineman, Shawn Lauvao (ankle). Lauvao is listed as doubtful and was limited participation all week.
