Saints hoping Victor Butler can return this season

As mentioned yesterday, the New Orleans Saints are struggling to find answers on defense.  In the past week the Saints have acquired Parys Haralson from San Francisco and claimed defensive back Jumal Rolle off waivers from the Bills just to fill the holes left from injury.

New Orleans is holding out hope that outside linebacker Victor Butler will be able to step in and help their ailing defense once he is eligible to come off the PUP list after week six.  Butler was brought in from Dallas in hopes that he could help transition the Saints’ new 3-4 defense under first-year defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.

The Saints have had their fair share of injuries this off season and could be in for a long season, especially from their defense.  Once teams start to finalize their 53-man rosters, look for the Saints to possibly add some more bodies on the defensive side of the ball.
