Dolphins’ Dion Jordon back at practice preparing for season opener

The Miami Dolphins biggest catch in this year’s NFL draft, No. 3overall pick, outside linebacker, Dion Jordon, returned to practice this week and is hopeful he can play in the season opener, reports Darin Gantt of NBCSports.

Jordon, who aggravated his surgically repaired shoulder on August 9, is back practicing with the team and appears to be ready to help stating, “Physically, I felt good, for me, it’s mainly little things, continuing to brush up on my fundamentals, and whatever they ask me to do I’m able to go ahead and do it at full speed so I can help this team.”

Jordon is not set to play in the Dolphins’ last preseason game but head coach, Joe Philbin, is hoping for a possible season opener as a return, telling reporters, “We wouldn’t put him out here if we didn’t feel he was ready to go.”

With pass rushers Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon stabilizing the defense, the Fins have a small luxury in allowing Jordon to wade by the shore and learn his craft, before going out into deep costal water with the sharks.
