Chris Ivory leaves Jets practice early with hamstring issues

New York Jets running back Chris Ivory left Wednesday's practice early after his hamstring tightened up according to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com.

Ivory was having some issues with the same hamstring last week and was forced to miss a couple of days of practice. Wednesday's practice was Ivory's first attempted full practice with the New York Jets.

Chris Ivory's lingering hamstring issues are certainly a cause for concern for the New York Jets, who do not have a lot of depth at running back. Bilal Powell and Mike Goodson are both average at best. Joe McKnight's speed makes him dangerous, but he hasn't had much success as a running back in his three years as a pro, and he lacks the size necessary to be a true number one running back. Ivory is the only running back on the Jets roster with the strength and speed to be a starting running back. The Jets will need to be careful with Ivory, who has been injury prone throughout his career,  and make sure they do not rush him back to action until his hamstring is 100 percent.
