The Washington Redskins were without cornerback DeAngelo
Hall yesterday, as the veteran was sporting a walking boot on his injured right
ankle. X-rays were inconclusive, but the Redskins will likely be without Hall for
at least a few days as a result of the injury, according to Tarik El-Bashir of
CSN Washington.
The Redskins will put Hall through further testing to
determine the extent of the injury. This will sideline him for another “few”
days, according to a team source.
Hall suffered his ankle injury when he was back-pedaling to
cover Skye Dawson. Following a hard cut by the wide receiver, Hall rolled his
ankle while attempting to retain his coverage.
In place of Hall, the Redskins used rookie David Amerson
with the first team defense. It’s hard to say what to expect from Hall until
the extent of the damage done to his ankle is determined, which could take a
few days to be announced.
