Having worked with him previously at the Tennessee Titans, and failing to utilise him in the best positions, head coach of the St Louis Rams, Jeff Fisher, is looking forward to working with Jared Cook this time:
This is in stark contrast during Cook's first two seasons at the Titans under Fisher - where he struggled with blocking and garnered only nine receptions during 14 games of his rookie season in 2009.
Cook has the potential to be a big playmaker along with rookie wide receiver, Tavon Austin, in the Rams' revamped passing game.
Although prone to inconsistency and drops which have negated him from talk of joining the elite tight end quota, Fisher was surprised he was not taken quicker on the open market:

"He's obviously got years of experience under his belt, he understands the league, he understands defenses and he's picked things up really well, we're excited about creating mismatches, and offensive success these days is about creating mismatches," he said to the Tennessean on Saturday
