After a rash of early-camp injuries across their defensive
line, the Dallas Cowboys have been forced to make a few moves earlier than they
would have liked. To bolster their defensive line depth, Dallas has signed free
agents Landon Cohen and George Selvie, according to Brandon George of The
Dallas Morning News.
After losing reserve Tyrone Crawford to a potentially
season-ending injury, the Cowboys have also watched starters Anthony Spencer
and Jay Ratliff go down with ailments.
In the wake of the injuries, Dallas signed Selvie and Cohen.
Selvie appeared in nine games with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. He was
with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this offseason, but they waived him in
May.
Cohen hasn’t played in an NFL regular-season game since
2011. That season, the former seventh-round draft pick of the Detroit Lions was
playing for the New England Patriots.
