Since running back Trent Richardson entered the league with
the Cleveland Browns, there have been questions surrounding his health and
durability. He did nothing to ease those questions last season, as knee and rib
injuries limited his playing time and production in 2012. It appeared that it
could be more of the same this year, as Richardson suffered a shin injury during
the offseason that reportedly put the start of training camp in jeopardy.
However, Richardson told Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer that he’ll
be “full-go right from the get-go” of training camp.
“”I’ll be full-go right from the get-go and y’all out there will see me flying around,” Richardson told the Plain Dealer. “I can’t wait to get out there and I can’t wait for the first game. I’ve been waiting forever for this season and I know it’s going to be a good one for us.”
Richardson finished his rookie season with 950 yards and 11
touchdowns. While those are impressive totals, he was limited to 3.6 yards per
carry, due in some part to injuries he battled throughout the season.
Richardson played through the ailments, and he’s hoping to improve on his
rookie totals in his sophomore campaign.
