Steelers’ Mike Adams out 6-8 weeks after stabbing

Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Mike Adams will be sidelined for the next six to eight weeks after undergoing surgery to repair wounds he suffered while being stabbed during an attempted robbery, according to Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com.

Adams was stabbed in the stomach when three assailants were attempting to steal his truck outside his Pittsburgh home. He reportedly gave chase even after the stabbing, and at one point he had a gun pointed at his face.

Luckily for Adams, the stabbing didn’t hit any vital organs. Still, the wound required surgery, and Adams will be out for the next six to eight weeks while recovering. His agent said that he will definitely be ready in time for training camp.
