Broncos’ Knowshon Moreno still dealing with knee issues

Since being selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno has been hampered by knee injuries. It’s more of the same entering the 2013 campaign, as Moreno had a stem-cell procedure done on his troublesome knee this year which has limited him in the Broncos’ offseason work, according to Jeff Legwold of The Denver Post.
"He's coming along," coach John Fox said. "We're going to be very cautious. When the doctors give him the full-go go-ahead, he'll be doing everything."
Moreno suffered his most recent knee injury during the Broncos’ playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It’s been more than four months since then, and he still isn’t fully practicing with the team.

It’s not clear what sort of role Moreno will have with Denver this season, considering he’s already behind Willis McGahee and Ronnie Hillman on the depth chart. Beyond this, the Broncos also drafted running back Montee Ball in the second round, and Lance Ball and Jacob Hester are also on the roster.
