It’s seemingly been one thing after another this offseason
for the New England Patriots, from Rob Gronkowski’s forearm and back surgeries
to the signing of Tim Tebow. The team finds itself in the news once again, and
this time it involves legal troubles.
A day after law enforcement was at Aaron Hernandez’s home in
connection to a homicide investigation, NFL.com reported that a civil lawsuit
has been filed against the tight end that alleges he shot a man in the face
with a gun that was not properly licensed.
The complaint filed alleges that Hernandez and Alexander S.
Bradley got into an argument at a strip club in Miami in February. Later, while
driving toward Palm Beach, Hernandez’s gun discharged, hitting Bradley in the
face. As a result, Bradley lost his right eye and sustained other injuries.
The homicide case involves a rental vehicle that is
connected to Hernandez. Still, it doesn’t some like the tight end is a suspect.
