After a disappointing run with the Chicago Bears, offensive
lineman Gabe Carimi has been traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a
sixth-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
And we have a deal: Bears traded OL Gabe Carimi to Tampa Bay for a sixth-round pick in 2014.

The Bears made Carimi the No. 29 overall selection in the 2011
NFL Draft. He’s since dealt with knee issues, and he ultimately lost his
starting job last season. As minicamp and training camp approached, there was
expectation that he was at risk of being cut by the Bears, as he didn’t have a
reserve spot locked up.
He will once again be fighting for a reserve spot with the
Bucs, but it could be a fresh start for the offensive lineman. He’ll rejoin the
offensive line coach that he had during his time in Wisconsin which helped him develop
into a first-round pick.
