Houston Texans linebacker Brooks Reed underwent surgery to
repair his torn groin in January following the end of the team’s season. Now,
as the Texans begin OTAs today, Reed is recovered and completely healthy,
according to Dave Zangaro of CSN Houston.
The procedure was revealed by defensive coordinator Wade
Phillips last week, and Reed told reporters yesterday that he underwent the
surgery in January. The injury that required the operation was sustained during
the team’s Thanksgiving Day contest against the Detroit Lions, and it
ultimately sidelined Reed for four games.
But the groin is no longer giving Reed any problems, as he’s
been running and lifting hard for the past three weeks.
“I didn’t think about it then,” he said. “It shouldn’t be anything to worry about. It happened in the past and got over it. Worked hard rehabbing it so we’re at 100 percent right now and looking to improve during OTAs.”Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt
