“I’m doing great,” Griffin said. “Knee feels fine. It’s about taking it slow. Each day is a better day.”
After sustaining his gruesome injury during the Redskins' first-round playoff loss against the Seattle Seahawks, Griffin's knee required reconstructive surgery. While the procedure can put NFL player's careers in jeopardy, Griffin and the Redskins are optimistic that he'll be ready to return by the start of the regular season.
For the most part, Washington has kept details of Griffin's recovery under wraps. Still, coaches and doctors have marveled at Griffin's ability to recover and rehab the injury. While nothing is definite, Griffin was reportedly well ahead of schedule earlier this offseason, and it appears like he could be back with the team to start the new campagin.
