Redskins QB Robert Griffin III's knee feels 'great'

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III as he continues to recover from knee surgery. At yesterday's benefit for the American Cancer Society, Griffin told reporters -- including Mike Jones of The Washington Post -- that he's doing great and his knee feels fine.

“I’m doing great,” Griffin said. “Knee feels fine. It’s about taking it slow. Each day is a better day.”

For the most part, Washington has kept details of Griffin's recovery under wraps. Still, coaches and doctors have marveled at Griffin's ability to recover and rehab the injury. While nothing is definite, Griffin was reportedly well ahead of schedule earlier this offseason, and it appears like he could be back with the team to start the new campagin.
