While we are still a few weeks away from finding out if New
England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski requires another surgery on his
injured left forearm, one person who has seen the Pro Bowler told Mike Reiss of
ESPN Boston that he “looks great.”

Last month, Gronkowski and the Patriots were taking a wait-and-see approach when it came to the tight end’s injured arm. What is left
to be determined is if the infection in Gronkowski’s arm has cleared. If it
hasn’t, it would be considered another setback, and the start of the season could potentially be put in jeopardy.
While surgery was viewed as “very likely” a month ago, there
has always remained a chance that it won’t be necessary, according to Reiss.
While Gronkowski’s arm looks great at this point – and he has faced no other
unexpected setbacks – he’s seen in the past how quickly this can change.
Gronkowski has been participating in the Patriots’ offseason
program. The team is hoping that the infection heals on its own without
surgery, which would allow the tight end to return sooner than later.
