Since Tim Tebow's been released from the New York Jets, teams have basically lined up to say they are not interested in signing him as a quarterback. There are several clubs that are rumored to be potential fits for the free agent, and the New England Patriots tend to make that list considering Tebow's former ties to Josh McDaniels. However, a source told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports that Patriots coach Bill Belichick "hates" Tebow as a player.
Considering McDaniels thought enough of Tebow to move up in the first round to draft him when most questioned his merit as a high pick, there has been speculation that New England is a potential landing spot for the former Heisman Trophy winner. There's also been talk of the creative Belichick implementing Tebow's services in several non-quarterback ways.
However, Silver's source says there is "no chance" that Belichick would consider Tebow as a change-of-pace quarterback to pair with Tom Brady. This makes sense, as no one in their right mind would take Brady off the field and replace him with Tebow.
Beyond his reported "hate," Belichick also doesn't want to bring the Tebow "circus" to New England. Of course, the media attention isn't Tebow's fault, but it has certainly become a hindrance.
