NFL rumors: Richard Seymour 'definitely wants to play'

Former New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour remains unsigned as teams begin meeting for offseason workouts. The former All-Pro is apparently not done yet, as Steve Wyche of NFL.com says the veteran still "definitely wants to play."

"I've had a couple of text conversations with Richard, and he definitely wants to play," Wyche said.

There was talk earlier this offseason that Seymour would require a hefty salary to continue playing. This was viewed as a potential hurdle, considering the 33-year-old made $30 million over the past two years.

However, Wyche believes a signing is "just a matter of timing," with a move more likely to come at some point prior to training camp.

There hasn't been much discussion surrounding Seymour since he parted ways with the Raiders. The Falcons are said to have put feelers out earlier this offseason, but there hasn't been anything tying the lineman to Atlanta recently.
