The Detroit Lions conducted OTAs minus two players – safety
Louis Delmas and running back Mikel Leshoure – who are recovering from
injuries, according to Chris McCosky of The Detroit News.

Delmas has been excused from OTAs as he continues rehabbing
his ailing knees. Coach Jim Schwartz said the team has been in contact with the
safety:
"We're in communication with Lou," coach Jim Schwartz said. "He's not here right now but there's nothing he can get out of this because he can't physically do the stuff we're doing."
Delmas underwent surgery during training camp last year, and
it appears that his recovery has gone smoothly over the offseason. Schwartz
said the most important thing for Delmas will be his health, and the safety is
hoping to register a full season in 2013.
Injuries are nothing new for Leshoure, who missed all of his
rookie season with a torn Achilles and then dealt with calf and ankle ailments
last year. The Lions aren’t saying what he’s dealing with now, only that it’s
keeping him off the field.
