Giants rumors: New York to meet with Aaron Curry

The New York Giants continue to search for help at linebacker, and they are set to visit with free agent Aaron Curry on Thursday, according to Ralph Vacchiano of The New York Daily News.

Curry was the fourth-overall pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2009 NFL Draft, and many around the league expected him to develop into a star. This never happened, thanks in part to chronic knee problems.

After spending his first two seasons with the Seahawks, Curry joined the Oakland Raiders last season. After being traded to the Raiders, he was eventually cut by Oakland in November. Prior to his release, Curry appeared in two games and took only 18 snaps after missing most of the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Curry is attempting a comeback, as he’s been working out and feels healthy, according to Vacchiano’s sources. Several teams are said to be showing interest in the free agent linebacker, but the Giants will be the first club to get a look at him.
