Dallas Cowboys free agent running back Felix Jones worked out for the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Jones has shown the ability to be a dynamic playmaker in a limited capacity. He's much less effective when relied on as the primary running back, and this was evident once again last season when he was asked to fill in for injured starter DeMarco Murray.
For this reason, he could be a nice fit in new Eagles head coach Chip Kelly's system. Still, he'd face an uphill battle making the team, as Philadelphia already has a pair of solid running backs in LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown, while they also have Miguel Maysonet and Chris Polk vying for No. 3 RB duties.
Jones hasn't received much interest since the free agent market opened earlier this offseason. Other than the Eagles, the Cincinnati Bengals are the only other team to be seriously connected to the running back.
