The Baltimore Ravens are nearing a deal with former Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Schefter reports that the Ravens are set to meet with McClain's representation today to see if the sides can "iron out unresolved issues."
The Raiders elected to part ways with McClain earlier this offseason, and the former first-round draft pick officially cleared waivers earlier this week. At that time, he became an unrestricted free agent, and there were reports that several teams had expressed interest in the linebacker.
Considering the level of interest in McClain from the start, it was assumed that the free agent would sign quickly. Now, it appears that McClain could sign a new deal with the Ravens by the end of the week, if not the end of today.
