Rams rumors: St. Louis expected to sign Kellen Clemens

The St. Louis Rams have reached an agreement to re-sign backup quarterback Kellen Clemens, and the sides are expected to officially sign a new contract today, according to Mike Garafolo of USA Today.

Clemens signed with the Rams two seasons ago and has been backing up starting quarterback Sam Bradford ever since. The nine-year veteran made three starts for Bradford in 2011, and he appeared in two games last season.

Prior to his time with the Rams, Clemens had been a reserve option for the New York Jets and Houston Texans. Over two seasons in St. Louis, Clemens has completed 49 of 94 passes for 585 yards with a pair of touchdowns and interceptions.
