After the Oakland Raiders acquired quarterback Matt Flynn
from the Seattle Seahawks, they picked up discussions with the Arizona
Cardinals regarding Carson Palmer. It appeared that a deal was pending, but the
trade has since “hit a snag,” according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Carson Palmer trade not finalized. Things "hit a snag" according to a source. Unsure if it can be overcome at this point ...

La Canfora later added that the Raiders and Cardinals are
working on a restructured salary for Palmer, who is currently set to make $13
in 2013. This salary could certainly represent the snag, as Palmer was
reportedly not interested in taking a pay cut in order to remain with the
Raiders.
However, it was also reported that Palmer would be willing
to take a lesser role with a contender. The Cardinals may not constitute a
contender, but the veteran quarterback could like his potential situation in
Arizona enough to agree to a reduction in salary.
