The recovery process from the Lisfranc fracture that ended
his season is going well for Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice
Jones-Drew. The running back told NFL.com that he’s “feeling good.”

"I just got back to Jacksonville a couple weeks ago from school, just have been rehabbing every day and getting used to the offseason program," Jones-Drew said in an interview that will air during Thursday's "NFL Total Access." "I'll be back at full speed by probably the end of May, beginning of June, and I just can't wait to get back out there and play. I only had six weeks of football last year, so it's just going to be exciting to get back and be with my teammates."
Jones-Drew began light jogging earlier this month and has
continued rehabbing his foot while living in a dorm room at UCLA, his alma
mater. He’s hoping to make a full recovery in time for the start of next
season, as he’s anxious to improve on his mostly lost 2012 season.
The prior year, MJD led the NFL with 1,606 yards rushing.
New Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley has indicated that he’s devoted to pounding
the ball, so if Jones-Drew can get healthy he should have plenty of
opportunities next season.
