Hmm, free-agent WR Julian Edelman is in Jersey today/tomorrow for a visit with the Giants.

This would mark Edelman’s first reported visit of the free
agency period. While the wide receiver proved dynamic in spurts during his time
with the Patriots, he was sidelined for the end of the season after undergoing
surgery on his foot.
That injury history is certainly one of the main questions
potential suitors have regarding Edelman, as he’s missed time due to multiple
ailments over the past few seasons.
Beyond his capabilities at wide receiver, Edelman is also
known as a gifted punt returner. He’s averaged 13.2 yards per return over 72
career returns. Still, it’s unclear if his small frame can handle the beating
that the role of punt returner calls for over the length of a season.
If the Giants were to add Edelman, he could find himself in
a battle with Jerrel Jernigan during camp for the team’s fifth receiver and
return-specialist role.
