Terrell Owens continues to seek out another opportunity to
play in the NFL, and his latest bid is to join the Chicago Bears. Owens has a
distant tie to new Bears head coach Marc Trestman that he’s hoping could work
its way into a contract, according to CSN Chicago.
"I played my first early years in San Francisco with and shortly after that, he left to do some things," Owens told Comcast SportsNet Chicago's David Kaplan on Friday. "I haven't talked to Marc in a long while. I know he's gone on and done some things, now he's back in the NFL. So, I never really thought about it until myself and (former linebacker) Napoleon (Harris) were talking about it earlier, but I would definitely welcome it if they would give it some serious consideration.”
Owens admits that he hasn’t spoken with Trestman for a long
time, and his connection with the new head coach is that they were with the San
Francisco 49ers for one year. Owens was a rookie wide receiver and Trestman was
the offensive coordinator.
This is an extremely unlikely scenario, as all of this has
been generated by T.O. The Bears haven’t been tied to the veteran wide receiver
at all, and it doesn’t seem like a situation that would appeal to a rookie head
coach.

Ohhh HELL NO! If there was ever an opposite attitude for the Bears, he is it! Go away already dude and get the hell away from my (our) team! We don't need you, Jeffery on the otherside of the field is like a mimic of Marshall. Does someone have any ointment for this bad T.O. rash that keeps coming back?
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I wouldn't want him on my team. If it makes you feel better, it doesn't sound like the Bears have any actual interest in him!
