NFL Draft: Draft picks vs. Cap space

Under the new collective bargaining agreement, teams have much less decision making when they are considering the figures on a rookie contract. Just because teams have been less actively attacking free agency doesn't mean that spending has stopped. Every draft pick has a cost, and every cost has a 2013 salary cap hit. Here's a breakdown of rough cap hit estimates that can be made for the top 100 picks in this year's draft:

1. $4,019,636
2. $3,839,836
3. $3,725,250
4. $3,594,655
5. $3,365,820
6. $2,957,182
7. $2,630,273
8. $2,302,500
9. $2,285,000
10. $2,197,120
11. $2,058,182
20. $1,494,264
30. $1,263,188
40. $897,500
50. $734,200
60. $608,340
70. $555,625
80. $536,517
90. $529,950
100. $509,250
