The Texans have a hole at safety after their own free agent,
Glove Quin, signed a lucrative five-year contract with the Detroit Lions. Now,
Houston could attempt to fill the void by prying away another team’s coveted
free agent.
The Ravens have already lost several significant defensive
players to free agency this offseason, including linebackers Paul Kruger and
Dannell Ellerbe. Ray Lewis retired following the season, wide receiver Anquan
Boldin was traded to the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore cut safety Bernard
Pollard.
Beyond the Texans, Reed also has possible visits with the 49ers
and Indianapolis Colts lined up. He was tied to the New England Patriots before
the free agent signing period began.
