New York Giants free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw is
scheduled to visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers today, according to Mike Florio
of Pro Football Talk.
While the free agency period started some time ago, this
will be the first visit for the running back. New York opted to cut ties with
the veteran after the season.
Bradshaw’s tour of potential suitors was delayed as he
recovered from foot surgery. He’s been hampered by injuries – particularly to
his feet – over the past several seasons.
Still, Bradshaw has been a productive running back when
healthy. He totaled 1,015 rushing yards over 14 games last season, and his
career high came in 2010 when he finished with 1,235 yards.
The Steelers have a clear need at the running back position
after losing Rashard Mendenhall to free agency and cutting ties with Chris
Rainey following an arrest.
