No one ever expected quarterback Joe Flacco to be anything
but a member of the Baltimore Ravens by the time the season started, and that will
now officially be the case. The Ravens and Flacco have agreed to terms on a
six-year contract extension.

Again, Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco has agreed to terms on a new deal with the Ravens. He will sign it Monday. Waiting on terms

Flacco’s deal will reportedly make him the highest-paid
player in the NFL, meaning it would have to be more than $120 million over the
six seasons. The 28-year-old would move past New Orleans Saints quarterback
Drew Brees as the league’s highest-paid player.
Even if a deal on a long-term extension wasn’t able to be
reached this offseason, the Ravens were still expected to use their franchise
tag on Flacco. This won’t be necessary, as the quarterback is expected to
officially sign his new deal on Monday.
Last season, Flacco threw for 3,817 yards and 22 touchdowns
with 10 interceptions while completing 59.7 percent of his passes.
