It seems like the New York Jets have been tied to nearly
every available quarterback this offseason, as questions continue to surround
the future and ability of Mark Sanchez. You can add another name to the list,
as the Jets reportedly worked out former Miami Dolphins quarterback David
Garrard, according to Manish Mehta of The New York Daily News:

The Daily News has learned that the Jets worked out veteran free agent quarterback David Garrard on Thursday as they look to find competition for Mark Sanchez this offseason.
Garrard last played with the Dolphins before getting released
by the team prior to the 2011 season. He’s thrown 89 career touchdown passes
and owns a career completion percentage of 61.6.
The Jets currently have four quarterbacks on their roster,
including Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms. New York is hoping
to add a veteran presence to offer Sanchez competition. Tebow will likely be
gone before the start of next season, while McElroy and Simms aren’t viewed as
long-term options.
Beyond Garrard New York is also expected to show interest in
Brady Quinn. They had previously been tied to Alex Smith and Michael Vick, but
both have found landing spots this offseason.
