The Steelers have a void in their backfield after losing
regular rusher Rashard Mendenhall to free agency. Pittsburgh also parted ways
with dynamic back Chris Rainey this offseason following his arrest.
Pittsburgh has been tied to several running backs, including
Arizona Cardinals free agent Beanie Wells. While Wells visited the team
recently, a deal was put on hold when Pittsburgh discovered a lingering leg
injury.
The Packers have also been tied to several running backs
this offseason. Green Bay was one of the teams interested in former St. Louis
Rams rusher Steven Jackson before he signed with the Atlanta Falcons.
There are few options remaining beyond Bradshaw, and teams
seem to be interested in him as a regular provider even though he’s dealt with
leg and foot injuries over the past several seasons.
