Yesterday it was reported that the New York Jets were considering all options, including a trade, when it came to All-Pro cornerback
Darrelle Revis. This left many surprised, including Revis himself, who said he
was left “speechless” by the news.

I'm speechless by far but more importantly I feel more upset for the jet nation for having to go through this!!!

Jets owner Woody Johnson didn’t deny reports that he
discussed the possibility of trading Revis while interviewing potential general
manager candidates. Revis and his camp were shocked by the news, reinforcing
the idea that the trade talk originated from the front office.
For his part, head coach Rex Ryan doesn’t want Revis, who’s
considered by many to be the best cornerback in the NFL, to be traded,
according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Revis also isn’t pushing for a trade, as he’s made it clear
that he wants to remain with the Jets for the remainder of his career. He’s
also shown that he likes to get paid, and the longer these trade talks
continues the more likely Revis could be on his way out of New York this
offseason.
