Due to quarterback Robert Griffin III’s knee injury, the
Washington Redskins developed a game plan that included more pocket passing and
almost no running against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, this weekend during
the team’s pivotal matchup against the Dallas Cowboys Griffin said he expects
to have more freedom to play his game, according to Mike Jones of the
Washington Post.
“The knee is fine. Whatever I feel like I can do on that day, I will,” said Griffin, who on Wednesday was voted to his first Pro Bowl. “I’ll be able to do more, to answer your question. I won’t dodge it. I’ll be able to do more against the Cowboys than Philly, but we’ll see how that goes.”
Griffin continues to say that he’s not limited physically by
the knee injury. Coach Mike Shanahan acknowledged the more conservative
approach against the Eagles. Considering the importance of Sunday’s game we are
likely to see the dynamic Griffin we’ve seen over much of the season.
