Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin injured his
shoulder during the team’s convincing victory over the New York Giants last
weekend, reports Marc Sessler of NFL.com.
"Anquan has a shoulder bruise," coach John Harbaugh told the Ravens’ official website. "We'll see how that develops during the course of the week."
Boldin sustained the injury in the third quarter of last
Sunday’s game while making a 16-yard catch. Prior to his injury he caught seven
passes for 93 yards, bringing him to a total of 65 receptions for 921 yards and
four touchdowns on the season.
The Ravens have locked up at least the No. 4 seed by winning
Sunday, but the team can still move up with a win Sunday over the Cincinnati
Bengals. For this reason Baltimore doesn’t have the luxury of a meaningless
game in which to rest Boldin and other players that are nicked up late in the
season.
