The Cardinals have used a mix of John Skelton, Kevin Kolb
and Ryan Lindley throughout the 2012 season. Each has either dealt with
injuries, ineffectiveness or both. After getting off to a 4-0 start, mostly
thanks to the play of the defense, Arizona has proceeded to go 1-10 over the
last 11 games.
Hoyer saw action last weekend for the Cardinals, going 11
for 19 with 105 yards and one interception against the Chicago Bears. It was
his first action of the season, as he was claimed but did not suit up for the
Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the year.
