While the San Francisco 49ers recently lost wide receiver
Mario Manningham for the remainder of the season, injured tight end Vernon Davis
should be available for the team’s regular season finale against the Arizona
Cardinals, reports Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area.
Davis should be available for the 49ers’ regular-season finale against the Cardinals after sustaining a mild concussion Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks.
Considering veteran Randy Moss is now the 49ers’ No. 2 wide
receiver behind Michael Crabtree, who’s approaching the first 1,000-yard
receiving season of his young career, San Francisco will need Davis to step up
in the passing game.
After starting the year off strong, catching four touchdowns
over the first three games of the season, Davis has dropped off. In the 10
games he’s played since Oct. 14 Davis only has a total of 240 receiving yards
and one touchdown.
