The Cleveland Browns have placed wide receiver Mohamed
Massaquoi on season-ending injured reserve due to his knee injury, reports The Associated Press.
The Cleveland Browns have placed wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi on injured reserve and elevated quarterback Thad Lewis from the practice squad to the active roster.
Massaquoi, who started five games for the Browns this
season, finished the year with 17 catches for 245 yards. The former
second-round pick may not be a part of Cleveland’s future plans, according to The
AP.
To replace Massaquoi on the 53-man roster, the Browns
elevated quarterback Thad Lewis from the practice squad. He could end up being
Colt McCoy’s backup if Brandon Weeden isn’t able to this weekend.
