The Minnesota Vikings were without wide receivers Percy
Harvin and Michael Jenkins as they returned to the practice field following
their bye yesterday, according to Tom Pelissero of ESPN1500.com, and the team
also said it would continue to “lighten” Adrian Peterson’s work load in
practice due to his sore left ankle.

#Vikings back on practice field. Percy Harvin and Michael Jenkins are absent.

Entering the bye week, the Vikings said they expected Harvin
to return in the team’s next game against the Chicago Bears. However, after
missing practice due to his injured ankle, Minnesota hasn’t updated the wide
receiver’s status for this weekend. Jenkins’ status for Sunday is also unclear
as he recovers from a foot injury.
It’s scary to think Peterson may be less than 100% this
season, as the All-Pro is already leading the NFL in rushing. However, it
appears that his ankle is still tender enough that the team doesn’t want to
push it during practice. Come game time, though, Peterson has shown that there’s
not much that can stop him.
