Vikings Injury Report: Harrison Smith, Kyle Rudolph Exit with Concussions

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith and tight end Kyle Rudolph each exited yesterday’s game against the Chicago Bears with concussion-like symptoms, reports Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com.

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith and tight Kyle Rudolph each left Sunday's game against the Bears with concussion symptoms.

Smith’s injury occurred while he knocked Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett out of bounds on a play early in the third quarter. He was initially questionable to return but the Vikings later confirmed that he would be sidelined for the remainder of the contest.

Smith was able to leave the field under his own power and appeared to be flexing his neck on the bench before he was taken to the locker room for further evaluation, according to Pelissero.

It wasn’t apparent on which play Rudolph was injured, but the tight end left the game in the fourth quarter and was also taken to the locker room for evaluation. Coach Leslie Frasier said more would be known regarding the player’s conditions early this week.
