Falcons Injury Report: Julio Jones Active Against Buccaneers

Julio Jones hurt his shoulder last weekend against the Arizona Cardinals.  However, as D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported earlier, Jones was able to go against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver was limited in practice all week, so it was not certain that he could play.  But he did.

So far, the Falcons are leading the Bucs 10-7 in the second quarter.  With Jones in action, the receiver has caught two passes for 28 yards.  Jones has had a solid year in 2012.  He 736 yards-receiving and five touchdowns through Week 10.  He will look to improve that today while helping the Falcons improve their record.

Atlanta started the season as the last remaining team to be beat.  They are now 9-1 heading into this afternoon's match-up.  Only the Houston Texans have a better record at 10-1 thanks to their Thanksgiving day overtime win.

With Jones back, and the team in a power position in the division, Atlanta can potentially look ahead to their match-up next week with the New Orleans Saints.  Depending on how things play out today, the Falcons could essentially wrap up the division next week.
