The Seattle Seahawks have placed wide receiver Ben Obomanu
on injured reserve, ending his season, reports Danny O’Neil of The Seattle
Times.
Wide receiver Ben Obomanu was lost for the season after suffering a wrist injury.
The Seahawks have
replaced Obomanu on their roster with rookie receiver Jermaine Kearse.
Obomanu was a utility receiver for the Seahawks and saw most
of his playing time on special teams. The team used him as a run blocker on
one-receiver, two tight end sets, according to O’Neil.
Beyond Obomanu, the Seahawks had several other question marks at
wide receiver. Doug Baldwin is unlikely to be ready to return from a high ankle
sprain, and Braylon Edwards’ (knee) status remains uncertain.
